Alaska Cruise Essentials
Alaska Cruise Essentials:
1. Motion Sickness Medication: Definitely don't forget this medication, because many people get sea sick while on a cruise.
2. Sunscreen: Make sure you take a good sunscreen with you, so that you avoid sunburn or wind burn. My favorite is Shiseido Ultimate Sun Protection Cream, SPF 50
3. Power Strip: Most cruise lines have very few plug-ins available, so a good power strip that will hold several chargers and what not comes in handy.
4. Camera: A good camera comes in handy for the pictures and videos you want to take on your cruise. Amazing scenery, wildlife and of course family photos are a must. Make sure to have an extra battery with you if you plan on using your camera a lot. Also, think about investing in a rain cover to keep your camera safe from rain or snow.
5. Insect Repellant: Make sure to pack a good insect repellant for your cruise.
6. Rain Coat: Make sure to pack a rain coat or a parka for your cruise to Alaska. The weather changes hourly, and you want to enjoy your excursions, not be in wet clothes all day.
7. Beanie or Hat: Alaska's temperatures vary throughout the day, so a good hat comes in handy to keep the chill away. If you like to hang out on your balcony a hat is a must have.
8. Alarm Clock: Most cruise lines do not have a clock or alarm clock in the cabins. Make sure to pack an alarm clock with you.
9. Hunter Boots: Waterproof hunter boots (or hiking boots) come in handy for excursions into the different ports of Alaska.
10. Binoculars: Some cruise lines do have these available for use, but if you are an avid wildlife watcher, a pair of binoculars is a must bring. Try to find waterproof binoculars if you can.
