Day 2 - Disney Land
What I did - Disney Land
For breakfast, we ate at Carnation Café, which is located in Disneyland on Main Street. I ordered the Mickey-shaped waffle with sausage ($12.00) and the Seasonal Fruit ($3.00). Mine was excellent, of course you can't go wrong with a Mickey Mouse waffle. My mother, father and grandmother had the Eggs Benedict ($11.00). I had a small taste of it and it was very good. I would recommend this place to anyone. We then explored the park and rode some rides. I even got my grandmother, who is 56, to get on the Pirates of the Caribbean water ride. She complained about getting wet, but she seemed to enjoy herself. At 11:30 am, my grandmother, mother and myself went to the spa for facials while my dad went golfing. We had the Fire & Ice massage ($165.00) which was wonderful. After the spa, we ate lunch at Café Orleans in New Orleans Square. For starters, we split the Pommes Frites ($7.00) which is basically just French fries with spices and parmesan on it. I had the Lobster Cobb Salad ($23.00) which was so delicious. My mom and grandmother had the Monte Cristo Sandwich (21.00) which they both said was delicious. For dessert, we split the Mickey Mouse shaped Beignets (9.00) which was out of this world. This is a good place to eat lunch and definitely order the Beignets. After lunch, we headed over to Downtown Disney and did a little shopping at Sephora and World of Disney. After shopping, we headed back to the hotel to rest for a while. At 8, we had reservations at Tortilla Jo's, which is a Mexican restaurant. We had the Tableside Guacamole ($14.00) for starters and then I ordered TJ's Grilled Chicken Caesars Salad ($17.00) which was phenomenal.
