Day 7 - What I Wore (RTD) by swimwearlover featuring how to wear ripped jeans   Day 6 - Alaska Cruise: Today, we went to the port of Ketchikan, Alaska from 1 to 8 pm. At first, we weren't going into port but stay and swim onboard the ship, but my parents changed their mind. We took a boat where we saw mountains, waterfalls and wildlife and then was taken to a lodge where they served a crab feast. The crab was outstanding!   ****   What I Wore: -Hoodie: Girl power hoodie from hm.com -Jeans: Black jeans from Nordstrom -Shoes: Black converse (similar) -Backpack: Michael Kors backpack -Beanie: Ugg beanie -Watch: Black Michael Kors watch -Earrings: Gold Michael Kors earrings -Perfume: Rollerball from Victoria Secret

Day 6 - Alaska Cruise RTD) by swimwearlover featuring polka dot mugs On day 6, we visited Skagway, Alaska. We went on a scenic railway tour of Alaska and then went gold mining. It was a really good experience, and everyone is guaranteed to find some gold. (not much though), but we had a good time. After that, we ate at some fish house where I had king crab legs...so good!!! My mom had chowder and salad, and my dad had the crab legs also. YUM! On our way back to the ship, we did a little shopping and I bought a postcard and sent to my grandma. Day 5 - What I Wore (Alaska Cruise)

Day 5 - What I Wore (RTD) by swimwearlover featuring black shoes Today, we were at sea all day. Tomorrow, we are going aboard to Skagway, Alaska and are planning to go gold-mining. My dad really wanted to do this excursion, so my mom and I are going to tag along and see what its like. Maybe it'll be fun! Today while my dad played basketball, my mom and I went to the spa and had fire and ice manicures and pedicures. They use hot stones (for the fire part) and a cooling gel (for the ice part). It was very relaxing, and my legs felt like jello when I first got up (ha), but I would definitely recommend it. We took in a show after dinner and then went back to our cabin. We have to be up early in the morning, as we get to port at 7 am. I hate getting up early!!   What I Wore: -Hoodie: Striped Hoodie from Zaful -Jeans: Black jeans from withchic.com -Shoes: Black Hi-top Converse -Watch: Michael Kors Watch -Sunglasses: Round Sunglasses from Rayban.com -Ba...

Alaska Cruise Essentials

Image
Alaska Cruise Essentials by swimwearlover featuring Newgate Alaska Cruise Essentials:   1. Motion Sickness Medication: Definitely don't forget this medication, because many people get sea sick while on a cruise.   2. Sunscreen: Make sure you take a good sunscreen with you, so that you avoid sunburn or wind burn. My favorite is Shiseido Ultimate Sun Protection Cream, SPF 50   3. Power Strip: Most cruise lines have very few plug-ins available, so a good power strip that will hold several chargers and what not comes in handy.   4. Camera: A good camera comes in handy for the pictures and videos you want to take on your cruise. Amazing scenery, wildlife and of course family photos are a must. Make sure to have an extra battery with you if you plan on using your camera a lot. Also, think about investing in a rain cover to keep your camera safe from rain or snow.   5. Insect Repellant: Make sure to pack a good insect repellant...

Review - Aqua Vault Portable Outdoor Safe

Image
We recently went on  a cruise to Alaska, and my parents bought two of these from Amazon.com. They cost 39.95 each. My dad doesn't normally spend a lot of time at the pool, so my mom and I mainly used these. As you can see in the picture, they hook onto the back of a beach/pool chair and keep your valuables safe. They are meant to store your keys, money, cell phones and other important things. There is a combination lock which protects everything inside. They are extremely roomy and can hold a lot of items, but they are very bulky and take up a lot of room inside your suitcase. (if you are traveling with them). My dad tested these before we left on our vacation, and even though it says they are waterproof, they are not fully waterproof. Some water can get into the holes around where this product is attached to the chair. They do have three holes at the bottom which prevents this product from filling up with water though. I would not recommend getting these wet.   ...

Review of Cruise - NCL Sun

Image
NCL Sun - Mini Suite - Alaska:     Room - 4/5   We stayed in a mini suite which was very nice. Even though it was a mini suite, it is still small, but workable. The balcony was really nice and I stayed out there a lot. It also had a big bathtub which was amazing, since I like to take baths. You also get a concierge with the mini suite or suites, and I know he was very valuable to my parents. The room could have been a little cleaner, but otherwise everything else was okay.   Service - 4/5   Most of the staff were extremely friendly and welcoming to us. There were two exceptions to that. I don't know if they were having a bad day, but they were very rude to my parents for no reason. The waiters were absolutely wonderful though.   Food- 4/5   Most of the food I ate was very good, but by far the best food I ate was in the different ports. The food menus were a little lacking, and there were only a few entrees...

Day 3 - Alaska Cruise

What I Wore - Day 3 (RTD) by swimwearlover featuring a logo top              What I Wore - Day 3 - Alaska Cruise: Today, the cruise disembarked at Icy Straight Point, Alaska from 9am until 5 pm. My parents and I went on a Whale Watching and Zip Riding Tour. It was so much fun, but I was disappointed in how short the zip lining trip was. It was kind of expensive too, but I really enjoyed myself on the whale tour. It was neat seeing so many whales up close. We ate at the Crab Station and the king crab was wonderful, and tasted so fresh. It was probably the best I've ever had. We did a little shopping before heading back to the ship. ****   What I Wore: -Hoodie: Gap Hoodie -Jeans: Hollister Skinny Jeans -Boots: Ugg Mid-calf Boots -Backpack: Michael Kors -Tee: White Tee Shirt -Beanie: Navy Beanie from Miss Selfridge -Earrings: MK Earrings -Watch: MK Gold Watch **** Thanks for reading, Jen...
