Naples, Florida - Day 3

Image
Naples, Florida -  Day 3:   For breakfast, we went to Blueberry's Restaurant. I had the Blueberry and Strawberry Crepes and the fresh fruit. I love crepes, and these didn't disappoint. Everything was very good and the service was excellent. The rest of the day was spent at my grandmother's house until it was time for the wedding. The setting was at the beach, and my cousin looked so beautiful. I have never been to a beach wedding before, and I was really impressed by how nice everything was. Memory Keeping: Travel Journal

Image
I have been keeping a travel journal since I was ten. I still remember when my mother bought me my first travel journal. We were going to France, and she wanted for me to have a way to look back on those wonderful memories I had created. I buy a new travel journal for every location I visit. If you don't travel as much as I do, then one journal would suffice. I wish you luck with your writing journal. - I prefer the old-fashion journal, but if you are like many, there are travel apps for this kind of thing. Blog or Book is the one I would recommend. - Make sure to include your itinerary. - During the day, whip out your journal and write down your key visits and anything you especially loved. Include someone you may have met or the best thing you ate that day. - Include pictures, sketches, photos, etc. - Write before the trip too. Imagine what your trip will be like or even what you would like to do. There is no right or wrong. - Jot down key locations...

Review - Aqua Vault Portable Outdoor Safe

Image
We recently went on  a cruise to Alaska, and my parents bought two of these from Amazon.com. They cost 39.95 each. My dad doesn't normally spend a lot of time at the pool, so my mom and I mainly used these. As you can see in the picture, they hook onto the back of a beach/pool chair and keep your valuables safe. They are meant to store your keys, money, cell phones and other important things. There is a combination lock which protects everything inside. They are extremely roomy and can hold a lot of items, but they are very bulky and take up a lot of room inside your suitcase. (if you are traveling with them). My dad tested these before we left on our vacation, and even though it says they are waterproof, they are not fully waterproof. Some water can get into the holes around where this product is attached to the chair. They do have three holes at the bottom which prevents this product from filling up with water though. I would not recommend getting these wet.   ...

Day 3 - Alaska Cruise

What I Wore - Day 3 (RTD) by swimwearlover featuring a logo top              What I Wore - Day 3 - Alaska Cruise: Today, the cruise disembarked at Icy Straight Point, Alaska from 9am until 5 pm. My parents and I went on a Whale Watching and Zip Riding Tour. It was so much fun, but I was disappointed in how short the zip lining trip was. It was kind of expensive too, but I really enjoyed myself on the whale tour. It was neat seeing so many whales up close. We ate at the Crab Station and the king crab was wonderful, and tasted so fresh. It was probably the best I've ever had. We did a little shopping before heading back to the ship. ****   What I Wore: -Hoodie: Gap Hoodie -Jeans: Hollister Skinny Jeans -Boots: Ugg Mid-calf Boots -Backpack: Michael Kors -Tee: White Tee Shirt -Beanie: Navy Beanie from Miss Selfridge -Earrings: MK Earrings -Watch: MK Gold Watch **** Thanks for reading, Jen...

Travel Tips: Alaska Cruise

Image
Travel Tips - Alaska Cruise (RTD) by swimwearlover featuring My travel tips for a trip/cruise around Alaska. -I would recommend flying in at least a day early to your cruise departure city. Flights can be cancelled or delayed, and that could cause you to miss your ship. -Whatever city you will be departing from (mine was Seward, Alaska), search the reviews on google for the best restaurants and also any fun activities you might want to do. We flew in a day ahead of schedule, and visited the SeaLife Center, which was so much fun. -Book early for the cruise. There are varying opinions on whether to book early, or late, but my parents always book a year or more in advance. If you wait until last minute, you may not get the room you want or in the location you want. However, you may find better prices if you wait until closer to the cruise date. Most of the good rooms will already be sold out though. -Book a room with a balcony, if you can afford it. You can ...

What I wore - Seward, Alaska

Image
Alaska Cruise/ RTD by swimwearlover featuring denim shoes It is 11:21 currently in Seward, Alaska. We are packing our suitcases and about to check out of the hotel we stayed in last night. I think we have to board the cruise ship at around 6:30 pm, or check in or something. After we check out of the hotel, we are going to eat at the Cookery. Absolutely the best halibut I have ever had!. One weird thing on the menu was Reindeer Sausages...what?! After we ate, we visted the Sealife Center. It was really nice, but kind of pricy. *** My mom and I went to a local nail salon, and got Mani/Pedi's. On my nails, I got a light pink nail polish by Julep. On my toenails, I got a darker pink by Julep. My mom for some reason loves Julep nail polish, so I always have to get the Julep brand also. *** It was kind of chilly, I think like 50 degrees, when we woke up, so I dressed in a sweater and shorts to my knees with some Puma sneakers. I also am wearing my Michael Kors watch. ...

Packing Cubes and Laundry Bag Review

Image
Hello. We are on a cruise right now and I wanted to do a review of our laundry bags and packing cubes. My mom bought two of the laundry bags for this cruise, and my parents and I use two of each. The packing cubes we have had since our last cruise, but my mom bought me some new packing cubes from Eddie Bauer. Laundry Bags: Laundry Bags Where: Henry Bendle Price: $58.00 Website: http://www.henribendel.com/us/henri-bendel-laundry-set-278222.html? Review: These bags felt sturdy and looked so cute. My mom was very pleased with not only the price, but also the look of them. She said that they were effective for what we needed, but she wished that two of the bags were bigger. That was the only downfall for her. There are three bags total, and the bags are named Shoes, Laundry and  Lingerie, but we just used for them for laundry. The measurements for the laundry bag is 24 x 17 inches. The shoe bag and lingerie bags both measure 16.25 x 12.25 inche...
